The Second International Conference of Shia Pulpit Elites
Simultaneously with Yūm Allah, the 12th of Bahman, the second International Conference of Shi’a Pulpit Elites was held in the holy city of Qom, bringing together 600 intellectuals and researchers from 70 different nationalities. Among the important topics presented at this conference, Dawood Manafi Pour emphasized that after more than forty years since the Islamic Revolution, Shi’a Islam must seek a defining symbol. This is because Shi’a Islam needs power, and its power comes exclusively from the geography of Karbala.
He elaborated on the subject of the shirt of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) as a symbol and its significance in the end times. He presented a new discussion about paving the way for the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) and the roles of Iranians and the people of Qom in this regard. He identified the origins of this preparatory movement from the era of Imam Musa ibn Ja’far (peace be upon him) and the dispatch of his descendants to Iran.
